Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia is a native of Canada and is best known to Canadians for her role as an Canadian actress in the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. In addition, she was a part of in Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea a' que te love. A dancer and model by trade Toubia also has achieved success in both fields. A Montreal born native, she grew as a child in Texas and was always attracted to dancing. When she was a young girl she started to train in different forms of dancing. As a 15-year-old was when she began competing in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia garnered significant fame in 2008, after she was a part of two seasons of Univision beauty pageant show Nuestra Belleza Latina. In a Telemundo episode, Telenovela Aurora in 2008, she was an receptionist. The first film she appeared in was an action drama Tattooed Love in 2015.
