Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. She is currently the president and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss comes originally from California, was raised in an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon and later owner of Lakers as well as other companies. When her parents split in 1972, she began to feel as if she was abandoned. At the age of 19 she started working for the family's business. She later set up her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She first served as vice-president for the Lakers before taking on the role of President of Great Western Forum. Buss her father passed away in 2013, as did the Lakers were inherited from him by her and five of her siblings via a trust. Each sibling had equally many votes. She assumed the office of the president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles which is an organization that is a pro-wrestling organization.
