Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic music composer, performer and singer. The singer combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B in a distinct mixture. She's performed on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in concerts and festivals across Europe. Sunshine is Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at the church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical education began in the local R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You an House is only available in Japan. The song has been re-mixed several times, and it is a mainstay of her live performances. The voice of hers was featured in the music video for The Fighting Temptations. Her role was as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's production Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls, the theatre production that was part of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She got invited to perform during the President's 2009 inauguration.
